Born in 1920, Hal owned Camera Obscura, one of the nation's oldest photographic fine art galleries, from 1979 to 2011. This show features work by Hal Gould, a selection of photographers directly and personally inspired by his work, passion and wisdom including Loretta Young-Gautier, Jude Sanchez, and Dona Laurita, as well as some hand picked selections from Hal's personal collection of photographic master works including original prints by Ansel Adams, Phillippe Halsman, Man Ray, Edward Curtis, and others.

We have launched a new web site that is focused on our gallery space in Old Town Louisville, CO! If you haven't visited us, come on in and check out some amazing original works of art by some incredibly talented local artists! We also have a performance space in our lower level and have been showcasing some stellar musicians and performers, both local and national.

We will still have this site, but it will be more specifically focused on Dona's photography.

It's always a treat to photograph in such a wonderful location and extra special when you have a fabulous couple like Taylor and Brian!

We met them last year (see engagement photos) and had a beautiful time with the fall colors and their spunky dog, Hurley! Love Taylor's beautiful sparkling eyes and this couple's sweet and sassy spirit which made photographing them such fun. This day was done up right with attention to detail and treating their guests to a fabulous celebration!

Incidentally, Taylor and Brian were referred to us by Kara and Josh whose wedding we photographed at Devil's Thumb Ranch two years ago, and below is a portrait of them on their 2nd anniversary this weekend (it's the 9th one down)!!!

Dona Laurita will be once again teaming up with Denver's Mizel Museum to facilitate a summer camp specifically created for middle school age girls! These camps have been very inspiring and empowering in the past, and are great for helping the girls find and express their creative identity within such a period of life transformation.

There will be two sessions/locations for this camp:

• June 16-20, at Dona Laurita Photography and Fine Art Studio and Gallery in Old Town Louisville, CO (820 Main Street, Louisville, in the Marketplace Building), and

• June 23-27, at the Mizel Museum in Denver (400 S Kearney Street).
